Login page copy updates and redesign
To lay the foundation for future features, copy changes were made to the login page to include mention of “username” as a means of signing in. The "Forgot password" prompt has also been updated to a more general “Help, I can’t sign in”.
Date of birth validation on account recovery page
For customers who use the date of birth validation feature, there is now a prompt for date of birth entry on the password reset page.
Date of birth entry is only required of client users; staff user types and non-client users (e.g., form signers) do not need to enter a date of birth on this screen.
For client users, the date of birth entered here must match the one on their client record in order to be sent the password reset link.
- If the client enters the correct date of birth as it appears on their client record in the EHR, they will be sent a password reset link.
- If the client neglects to enter their date of birth or enters the incorrect date of birth*, the client will be sent an email informing them that "We're unable to recover your client portal account because the date of birth entered does not match our records."
- Too many failed attempts in a short period from the same user will result in a temporary lockout for 10 minutes.
