How To Perform A Test Call

Overview

As a provider, you may be curious, "What do my patients see in the platform?". That's a great question.  This guide is here to make it super easy for you to find out!

Guide 📖

A great way to get the patient experience is to invite yourself to an appointment, not as a provider – but as a patient! There are two cool methods to do this:

Method 1: Use a Personal Email

  1. Send yourself an appointment invite using an email address that's different from your provider email address. You can use your personal email or even ask a buddy to help out by using their email.

Method 2: Modify Your Email with a +

  1. Take your regular email, like user@yourdomain.ca.
  2. Add a '+' right before the @ symbol.
  3. Tack on a word or some letters after the '+' – for example, user+testpatient@yourdomain.ca. The system will treat this as a totally new user account, pretty clever, right?

Quick Note: Any emails sent to this modified address will still land in your regular inbox. To keep things organized, give your test patient a quirky name so you can tell them apart.

Note: This trick currently is only known to work with Gmail/G-Suite and Outlook/Hotmail emails.

Testing Your New Perspective

Now comes the fun part – create an appointment just like you usually would. When you're filling out the participant's email, put in the modified email you've created or use your personal email (depending on the method you chose).

Voilà! You're now seeing things from your patients' perspective. How awesome is that? Have fun exploring the platform like a patient!
